Mumbai: For all those who have watched the teasers of Ayaan Mukherjee’s ‘Wake Up Sid’, where Ranbir portrays a careless lazy lad, there’s news for buzz has it that the actor is an absolute workaholic!
According to the latest Bollywood news, a sleep deprived Ranbir Kapoor worked really hard to shoot the promotional song for his upcoming flick ‘Wake Up Sid’ and complete it in four days and three nights that too without a break!
It is believed that Ranbir had just four days to promote ‘Wake Up Sid’ as the actor had to shoot for Prakash Jha’s ‘Rajniti.’ In just those four days, Ranbir spent wakeful nights to work on the promotional track of the film and further helped in its promotional activities. With the promotional song of ‘Wake Up Sid’ being canned at Madh Island over three nights, Ranbir assured that he was wide awake throughout the shoot.
According to a close source from the film sets, “Ranbir used to report on the sets everyday at 6 pm. Then he gave some promotional interviews for the film before shooting for the video. He shot for three entire nights without getting any sleep. He used to reach home at 7am and then launch into promotional activities for the film the entire day. So, in these four days and three nights, Ranbir must have hardly slept for three-four hours overall.”
When enquired about the grueling schedule of Ranbir, Ayaan Mukherjee, the concerned director said, “The problem was that Ranbir was to leave for a 45-day schedule of ‘Rajniti’ on a certain date and we realised that he just had three nights and four days for us. We needed to shoot the promotional track and also needed him to do lot of promotional activities in this time. It included TV interviews, promotional photo shoots, magazine cover shoots and of course, the shooting. We also wanted him to dub certain portions. He was a great sport and he behaved like a super hero. The only thing that annoyed him was jumping in a pool (for the music video) which he hates, as he is not a water person at all. But he managed to do all that with little or no sleep.”
