A driver of 25-year-old, who was set to get married on Wednesday, ended his life by jumping into Gangondahalli Lake in Madanayakanahalli police limits on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Harish, a resident of Bettadahalli.
The incident become public after villagers noticed a bike parked on the banks of the lake. After a thorough search of the place, the police found a death note as rumor has it was left by Harish, which stated that he had committed suicide.
The police, citing the parents of Harish, said that he was engaged to a girl around three months ago. However, the girl committed suicide for unknown purpose after which Harish slipped into depression.
His wedding with another girl was to take place Wednesday.
