Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Monday hit back at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah over his ‘jungle raj’ remark and said the ‘NRI Gujaratis’ do not know Bihar better than him and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
“Who knows Bihar better than the Bihari pair of Lalu and Nitish? We will not let these ‘NRI Gujaratis’ destroy our state,” Lalu tweeted.
Shah had earlier lambasted Lalu for ‘destroying’ Bihar in his 15-year reign.
“Want to remind you this is the same Bihar that once upon a time ruled India. It was the center of education, history and music. Look at what has happed to the land of Chandragupta, Samudragupta, Chanakya and Buddha. I am saddened by what has happened to this once glorious state,” Shah had said while addressing a rally in Katihar.
The RJD is contesting the Bihar polls in alliance with the JD (U) and Congress. (ANI)
