New Delhi: Some of the prominent Padma Awardees today met Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu at his residence here.
“Had a wonderful get-together with some of the prominent Padma Awardees at my residence…Enjoyed delicious Andhra spicy snacks along with the guests,” Naidu said.
The guests included Padma Vibhushan Awardees Eenadu group Chairman Ramoji Rao and Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi dancer Yamini Krishnamurthi.
Padma Bhushan awardee actor Anupam Kher, Padma Shri awardee ‘Baahubali’ director S S Rajamouli, journalist Ashok Malik, cardiothoracic surgeon Mannam Gopi Chand, lawyer Ujjwal Nikam, social activist Sunita Krishnan, neurologist at AIIMS Padma Srivastava also came to visit Naidu.
The Minister also witnessed a presentation on ‘Om City’, a spiritual city coming up in Hyderabad by Ramoji Group.
Others who make it to the get-together included some of the know how of media industry like Prasar Bharati Chaiman Surya Prakash, Subhash Chandra of Zee TV; Sanjay Gupta of Danik Bhaskar; Anant Goenka of The Indian Express; and Union Ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar, Piyush Goyal and Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
