Woman is the symbol of sacrifice, modesty and loyalty. But two appalling incidents occurred in the city recently have eroded women’s image and brought shame upon this gender.
On the morning of April 9, a modern and fashionable 18-year-old girl Sania fully covered with make-up got down from his flat and boarded a car already waiting for her. Two men and a married woman were also present in the car. The woman was green with envy when she looked upon the girl. Despite being beautiful, Husna Khan, mother of three children, hated Sania who was much younger to her, just because Sania has snatched her lover. Sania had become a wedge between Husna Khan and her lover Zeeshan. Jealousy with Sania drove Husna Khan to kill Sania. With the help of her company workers Malik and Rahman, Husna strangled Sania to death in the car itself near Gandipet and burned her body.
In another incident 42 year-old Mohammed Ismail Khan resident of Shalibanda was returning from Dargah Hazrat Baba Sharfuddin on April 30, when suddenly three youth stopped him on his way and forcibly took him in a car. Ismail Khan identified one among the three who was none other than his son’s friend Salman who had developed illicit relations with his friend’s mother and Mohammed Ismail Khan’s wife. He had kidnapped Ismail Khan on the direction of his paramour. The three youth Salman, Mohammed Nisar and Syed Javeed strangulated Mohammed Ismail near Kottapet and flung his body in a lake at Balapur. After investigations it was found out that Mohammed Ismail’s wife had developed illicit relations with Salman (her son’s friend). When it came to the knowledge of her husband, the lover and the paramour hatched a plan to kill Ismail.
Both the killer women have been sent to jail.
The Quran says: “Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient (to Allah and to their husbands) and guard in their husband’s absence what Allah orders them to guard (e.g. their honor, husband’s property, etc) [4:34]”
Ibn Hibban narrated that the Prophet (Sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) said, “If a woman prayed five prayers, fasted in Ramadan, protected her honor and obeyed her husband; then she will be told (on the Day of Judgment): enter Paradise from any of its (eight) doors.”
