A Woman Sub-Inspector, Punjala Lalitha, working in City Crime Station was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials here today when she demanded and accepted bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour. The 54-year-old cop accepted the bribe for doing an official favour to enlarge on bail by taking supply as per the court order, ACB said in a release here. Tainted bribe amount of Rs. 15,000 was recovered from the office room kept in the locker of an iron safe of Lalitha at her instance. She was being arrested and will be produced before the first Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad, the release added. UNI
