Women in the field of Science

(Siasat News) To provide equal opportunities to all the members of the society is the basic value of America. The basic democratic principle represents the best hopes for equal opportunities with which the gigantic challenges the world is facing could be met.

Recruitment of scientists only from a sub-section of society could be a loss of our best and valuable resources. This resource is human capability and potentiality. To enable women to become scientists, and to encourage them is an extension and addition of our competent individuals and to provide opportunities to those who are capable of working to find out solutions for the most difficult tasks. In this way, various theories, new insights and strange solutions are generated through which sustainable progress could be achieved and the style of living of all the people could be improved.

America has been helping the young women all over the world through its various steps so that the opportunities for career development in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics could be advanced. These steps offer the training of leaderships. At the same time, they also offer mutual respect, understanding of civilizations and help in the formation of strong network of women scientists, Engineers and inventors. All of them are part of Universal Scientific fraternity. This fraternity helps the world in shaping a better place through Science and Technology.

As part of these efforts, various American associations and Indian Scientific organizations are engaged in the preparations of framework and a plan of action so that women are recruited as scientific experts and their capabilities are developed so that their expertise in the discipline could be sustained.

American embassy in such a way New Delhi will hold 4th Annual Indo-American workshop on the best opportunities in scientific filed for women. This workshop is being conducted by American Embassy in India in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology of Govt. of India on 10th December 2012 in New Delhi. During the current year, emphasis would be laid on the best opportunities which would enable the Indian and American institutions to make women empower and competent in the field of science.

America and India with mutual cooperation would provide equal opportunities to all the persons in the field of science irrespective of gender.

It is necessary to recall that the first P.M. of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had said, “The future of science and of those who make friendship with science”.
