In addition to the Harithaharam program being launched on July 11 to plant 25 lakhs of saplings he asked the municipal officials to stop encroachment of their lands by planting 64 lakhs of saplings in 72 municipalities in the 806 acres land identified for the purpose. He directed to Dana Kishore Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration to appoint a special officer to monitor the green drive and steps for geo-fencing and green-fencing to protect the saplings.
