Hyderabad, March 08: A woman jumped to death along with her two children due to disputes with her husband in the neighbouring Ranga Reddy district yesterday.
B Sujatha (28) got married to Gopal six years back. They had two children, Lavanya (3) and a 13-month-old boy, Mahender.
The couple were working as agricultural labourers in Ibrahimpally in Chevella mandal.
Since the past few months, Gopal developed illicit relations with another woman, Bhagyamma, and the couple had differences over this. On Saturday evening, Sujatha picked up an argument with Gopal over this, asking him to end his relationship. In a fit of rage, Gopal beat up Sujatha who left the house with their two children.
Gopal and other villagers launched a search for them and Sunday morning they found the bodies of the children in an agriculture well.
They retrieved Sujatha’s body after a search in the well.
Following a complaint by Sujatha’s father, Masaiah, police registered cases under sections 498-A (harassment) and 306 (abetment to commit suicide) against Gopal and are investigating.
