Sagar, March 12:A mother and her two children drowned in a well at village Mungavli under Malthoun Police Station area in the district, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday when Sangita Sahu (32), and her children, Surendra (10) and Balmukund (7) had gone to the well for washing cloths.
The children descended into the well down the side-stairs, but fell into the water. Sangita then jumped in to save them. All three drowned, said additional Superintendent of Police, Prembabu Sharma.
