Woman, three others arrested for robbery

New Delhi, November 05: With the arrest of four people, including a woman and recovery of jewellery, police today claimed to have solved a robbery case in the national capital. Police arrested Vinneta Bhardwaj, her associates — Farman Malik alias Suhail Malik, Nazim and Imran — for allegedly stealing Rs 35,000 in cash, gold jewellery worth rupees three lakh and two property documents from the house of Rajeshwar Singh in Rohini locality.

They said the four broke into Singh”s house nobody was home and stole the items. Police said a tip-off given by the watchman and mobile phone call details helped them nab the culprits.

“The descriptions of the suspects was given by the watchman and one of the accused Farman Malik was arrested,” police said, adding, at his instance, gold jewellery was recovered which was a part of his share from the robbery. Later, his associates Nazim and Imran were also arrested and the remaining jewellery and a car used during the robbery was recovered.

The woman was arrested based on information given by her associates, they said.
