China: A Chinese woman was horrified to learn of a 1-inch tooth growing right beneath her eye. 28-year-old Cao Fang who works in Guangzhou noticed the pain a month ago and was forced to make her meals softer. Cao had surgery in Chongqing City where Doctor Lin agreed to operate.
Doctor Lin who operated on the woman said that the direction of the tooth’s growth could have been caused by the woman’s baby tooth not falling off soon enough causing the tooth to grow upwards. Doctors made a small incision on the side of her face and removed the tooth.
Fang was told that she needed surgery as soon as possible as if it was left to grow, the tooth would permanently damage her eye. She was told to go to a larger hospital that could accommodate her.
