Pune: In a shocking incident, a woman has alleged that she was raped inside the Infosys campus here.
The woman alleged that she was raped on December 27 by a housekeeping staff member in the Infosys phase 1 campus.
According to reports, one of the two accused had raped the woman in the lavatory while the other captured the scene on mobile.
The accused had also threatened the victim not to inform others about the incident else they would make the clips public.
“A woman who works in the canteen went to washroom to freshen up. She was allegedly raped there. Yesterday she came to the police station to file her complaint. We are going to present two accused in the court today,” said Inspector Vishwajeet Khule.
The police have arrested two persons in connection with the case.
However Infosys in a statement said that, “We have stringent security measures in place on all our campuses and have a zero tolerance policy against sexual harassment which extends to our contractual staff as well.” We are investigating the matter and are working closely with the police to aid their investigation”.
