Etah (UP): A 22-year-old woman was seriously injured after being allegedly shot at by her husband as she protested against his drinking habits, here, police said today.
The victim, Sundari yesterday tried to resist the accused from drinking following which he assaulted her and fired at with a pistol, police said.
Hearing the gunshot, villagers informed police and the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital. Later, she was referred to Agra Medical College where her condition was stated to be critical, Station Officer of Jasrathpur RK Singh said.
So far, no FIR hasbeen lodged in this connection.
