New Delhi, February 01: A beautician and her paramour were arrested for murdering her husband in north-east Delhi, police said today.
Sanjeeda and her paramour Babu Khan, a lawyer’s clerk, were arrested yesterday for allegedly murdering Mukhtyar Ahmad on January 28 at his residence in New Seemapuri, DCP (North- East) S K Jain said.
During investigations, Jain claimed, it came to light that Babu used to visit Mukhtyar’s house regularly to meet Sanjeeda.
“Initially, Sanjeeda expressed ignorance about the murder. Later, it came to light that Babu and Sanjeeda had shown them as husband and wife. On this suspicion, the team zeroed on Babu,” Jain said.
Babu told police that he had an affair with Sanjeeda, both of whom hailed from Khurja in UP, since last several years.
“Both of them maintained the relationship even after Sanjeeda’s marriage.
