Etah, May 09: A woman was killed and at least seven persons got injured when firing broke out between two groups, during a marriage ceremony, in Marehara area of the district, police said today.
Bhawana succumbed to bullet injuries, received during the firing, which broke out after some persons allegedly eve teased a girl in the ceremony in Nagria Mod village last night, the police said.
According to the complaint lodged by cousin of the deceased the firing was started by Keshav Dev of same village, the police said.
No arrest has been made so far in this connection and police have been deputed in the village due to tension, they added.
