Hyderabad, June 21: A woman died late on Saturday, while undergoing treatment for her burn injuries suffered when the kerosene stove she was cooking on exploded on June 17, under the limits of Chatrinaka police station.
According to police, the victim has been identified as 30-year-old J Aruna, wife of J Pandu, a resident of Ravinder Naik colony, Chatrinaka.
Police believe that the stove burst after too much air pressure was created inside it by Aruna. The explosion left Aruna injured by the stove’s shrapnel and her clothes also caught fire.
She was rushed to the nearest hospital from where she was referred to the Osmania General Hospital. She breathed her last late on Saturday night.
Police registered a case and took further investigations.
