Uttar Pradesh, October 10: A 25-year-old woman was allegedly killed for dowry by her in-laws in Eka area of Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad district.
Mamta was killed by her father-in-law Ramveer Singh who attacked her with an axe with the help of one Raju and his brother Hari Om in Ramia Nagar locality Saturday evening, they said.
Mamta’s father Aiwaran Singh alleged that Ramveer was miffed as his demand of a motorcycle in dowry was not fulfilled, police said.
Mamta got married with Ramveer’s son Harveer in February this year, they said, adding that a case has been registered against five persons in this connection.
