A 45-year-old woman was killed allegedly by her husband at Lenin Nagar of Meerpet early on Sunday.
According to Meerpet police, the deceased, J Amrutha’s husband Venkatesh, a painter, had an argument with her on Saturday night near a local temple while suspecting her fidelity. He accused her of having an extra-marital affair with a man Satyanarayana. Venkatesh allegedy beat his wife and later throttled her neck resulting in her death. He then fled from the spot. “The police are making efforts to nab him,” Meerpet Inspector K Bhiksham Reddy said.
