Guntur, July 12: In a shocking incident, a young woman pushed her two daughters and committed suicide by jumping into a well killing at Vinukonda in Guntur district.
According to police, the woman C Sudharani was pushed into taking the extreme steps following family disputes. Meanwhile, her husband Jayaraju claimed that she was suffering from chronic stomach ache and this might be the reason for her taking the extreme step.
Sudharani had pushed her two daughters, 7-year-old Keerthi and 4-year-old Shruti into the well before jumping in herself.
She belonged to one of the 20 odd families who had come to Vinukonda from Annadevarapeta village in Thallapudi mandal of West Godavari district hoping to find work in the many tobacco industries.
Sudharani’s neighbours noticed the body in the well when they went to fetch water. They informed the police and retrieved the bodies.
A case has been registered and further investigations taken up.
