New Delhi, October 25: A 42-year-old woman allegedly jumped to death from the seventh floor of her apartment in East Delhi today, police said.
The victim, Usha Devi, who was staying with her husband and three children at Rajdhani apartment in Madhu Vihar, was apparently under depression due to her prolonged illness, police said.
She had been undergoing treatment for past several years.
Her husband and three children were at home at the time of the incident.
She was taken to Lal Bhadur Shastri hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. No suicide note has been recovered from her residence.
Her husband Srikant worked with a telecom company while their two daughters and the son are studying at a school in the area, said police.
