New Delhi, February 23: A woman was arrested in north Delhi with 15.9 kg of marijuana, police said Wednesday.
The accused was identified as Sushila, and was arrested from a park in Sultanpuri area on Monday.
“She was seen in a park in a suspicious condition with two bags. When she was asked to show the bags, she was reluctant,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Chhaya Sharma.
The bags were searched and 15.9 kg of marijuana was recovered.
Sushila is illiterate and has been previously involved in eight cases under the Excise Act and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
“She used to meet Sajjan Farukha Badi, a resident of Nangloi, and take marijuana from him in the park,” Sharma added.
