New Delhi, November 02: A woman and her grandson were killed when an under-construction building collapsed in west Delhi while they were on way to a market, police said today.
The three-storeyed building collapsed in Guru Nanak Dev Nagar locality in west Delhi last evening in which three persons were also injured and police have arrested the contractor Harpreet Singh.
Kamal Devi and her grandson Akshit (3) were killed in the incident. “They were on way to market to buy milk when the building came down crashing. Parts of concrete fell on them and they died,” a senior police official said.
Police said they were yet to ascertain the cause of the collapse. A case has been registered and further investigations are on, the official said.
