Makkah: An Indonesian woman who was in last term of her pregnancy gave birth to a baby boy at the Grand Mosque while performing Umrah (mini pilgrimage) in Saudi Arabia.
According to ‘Sabq’ newspaper, the woman was praying at the Grand Mosque in the Western Saudi town of Makkah, when she went into labour.
A female medical team deployed at the mosque hurried to the woman pilgrim and helped her deliver inside the prayer hall.
“Both the woman and the baby are in good condition.
“Medical supervisors said it was an easy delivery process,” the paper added.
Kaaba, Islam’s holiest shrine is world’s largest mosque and home to many. Millions of Muslims converge every year on the Grand Mosque.
