Jaipur, April 08: Four persons allegedly abducted and raped a woman who was waiting for a bus at Nagar bus stand in Bharatpur district on Wednesday. Police arrested three persons.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening when the victim was waiting for a bus to Delhi at the Nagar bus stand. Suddenly, four youths on a jeep came and forcibly put her inside the vehicle and took her to an isolated place and allegedly raped her.
Later at night she was dropped at an isolated place. She, along with her relatives, went to the police station and lodged an FIR against four unidentified youths and also gave the vehicle number in which she was abducted, police said.
“Based on the complaint we arrested three youths on charges of abduction and rape while the other managed to flee. The accused were Vikram, Govind and Bablu,” an officer at Nagar police station said.
“The fourth accused will hopefully be arrested soon,” the officer added. The woman has been sent for medical examination.
