Bhopal, June 18: A married woman from Mumbai was sexually assualted by three people in a moving Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in the Madhya Pradesh capital last night, police said today.
Additional Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh Gaur told UNI that last around 2100 hrs last night a woman and her husband, who came here to visit Sant Asaram Bapu Ashram at Gandhi Nagar area here from Mumbai, asked for a lift from a SUV. There were a total of four people, including driver, in the vehicle.
After giving the couple a lift, one of the accused pointed gun at her husband’s head and criminally assualted the woman. Later, the couple was forced to alight from the SUV on Parvalia road near bypass. The victim identified the vehicle as a black SUV but had failed to note its number.
An information was received this morning that police had traced such a vehicle in Indore but it later proved wrong.
”All police stations of the state have been alerted to ensure that accused shall not evade the state’s limit,” he added.
