Beed (Maha), December 05: A woman was allegedly gang raped by six persons in Maharashtra’s Beed district, police said.
The incident happened yesterday at Georai tehsil in the district. The woman was waiting for a bus near Ashwini Hotel on Jalna road when three men on bike took her forcefully a room in the hotel where three others were already present. The six then raped her, they said.
At about 2 am today, the woman managed to come out of the hotel and contacted the police.
“We have registered a rape case against six people on the complaint filed by the victim. The accused are identified as Jalindar Kawade (23), Gandesh Vitthal Dhage (28), Satish Gade (25), Udhav Dimbre (45), Somnath Dungar (19) and Kalyan Poul (30),” police said.
