Woman gang-raped in Chaderghat

Hyderabad, March 25: A 25-year-old widow from Vemulawada in Karimnagar district, who came to the city with her brother on some work, was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by four persons at Chaderghat on Thursday.

The woman and her brother, Sanjeev, arrived at MG Bus Station in the early hours. As they were heading towards Malakpet, four persons stalked them and intercepted them near Chaderghat.

Stating that they were policemen, the quartet drove the woman and her brother in a three-wheeler to Malakpet railway station. They took the two persons to a secluded place abutting Padmanagar slum. Two of the abductors later took Sanjeev to Panchasheel library area in Old Malakpet and returned to the track where they sexually assaulted the woman along with the other two associates.
