A 22-year-old woman was strangled to death spotted by Locals on railway track near Kandikal gate under Chatrnika police station limits and alerted the police on Tuesday.
According to police, Ruheena Begum was married to Md Moinuddin, 27, a businessman, two years ago and the couple had a four-month-old baby.
The couple was residents of Ahmed Colony in Phoolbagh in Chandrayanagutta. “For the last few weeks wife and husband were not on talking terms and they were on the verge of separation. Parents of the woman alleged that Moinuddin had killed their daughter due to their differences between them,” police added.
The Kachiguda Railway police suspected the role of her husband in the murder and began the investigation. “We did not receive any inputs so far,” the inspector said. It has been learnt that the husband was arrested and was charged under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC, sources said. However, police refused to disclose any details.
