A 25 year-old house maid escaped an assault from an army jawan Om prakash by dialing 100.
According to Police,Omprakash,30 year-old army jawan, resident of 10th Regiment Stationed at Secunderabad was arrested after a manhunt on Wednesday morning. The victim is a resident of Balajinagar and a housemaid. On Tuesday eve, Omprakash called her to cook for him on account of new year’eve. Omprakash came and picked her up from Lalbazaar as she didn’t know how to reach his house.
According to her statement, as she sat on his bike, she found that Omprakash in drunken state and spoke to her in an offensive language. After a he stopped his bike in a less crowded area and offered an invitation to be with him for a night. When she decline his offer and got off from his bike he started abusing her. Meanwhile she alerted the locals and called the emergency service by dialing 100.
Bowenpally Police Sub. Inspector B. Srinivas registered a case against Omprakash under Sec. 509 for word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of woman.
