Muzaffarnagar: A government hospital in Budhana town of Muzaffarnagar refused to admit a pregnant woman following which the woman gave birth to a baby girl on the road, woman’s husband had alleged.
Farzana’s husband Yusuf took her to a government primary health centre after she experienced labour pains but to their shock, the hospital administration refused to admit her, PTI reported.
“As we were taking her to another hospital, she delivered the baby on the road,” Yusuf said.
The Hospital, however, denied the allegation of refusing to admit the pregnant woman.
Instead the Doctors said they had referred the couple to visit District hospital as she seemed in serious condition.
The husband said she was again taken to the same hospital by the Police but the officials referred district hospital for the second time.
Somebody had called the UP Police emergency management system for assistance to the couple.
Muzaffarnagar Chief Medical Officer Dr PS Mishra said he has ordered an inquiry into the incident assuring strict action against the wrongdoers.
