A woman committed suicide allegedly after her mother-in-law snatched her mobile phone as she suspected her of having an illicit relationship in Rewati area, police said today.
The woman, whose husband works in Gujarat, had left her house on the evening of March 24 and returned yesterday following which her mother-in-law scolded her and snatched her mobile phone, SP Manoj Kumar Jha said.
The mother-in-law suspected her of having an illicit relationship with a youth of the same village and the upset victim then committed suicide by hanging herself, the SP said.
