Jeddah, October 31: A 42-year-old Chadian woman going for the annual Muslim (Haj) pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia gave birth to a baby boy just after her flight landed in the Gulf kingdom, a newspaper reported on Sunday.
The pregnant woman just left the aircraft and went into the lounge at the airport in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah when she went into labour.
“She was rushed to the airport’s medical centre, where she gave birth to a boy… she decided to name him after the supervising doctor Mohammed,” ‘Sabq’ said without mentioning the carrier or saying how she was allowed on board.
