In an incident occurred at Bandlaguda, a 35-year old woman set herself ablaze on Friday night. According to Chandrayangutta police Rehana Begum, 35, and her husband Shabbir had frequent quarrels as husband would harass her in drunken state. On Friday night, Shabbir beat her again during the fight.
Vexed with harassment from her husband, Rehana doused herself in kerosene and set herself ablaze. Seeing this Shabbir fled from the house. Rehana suffered deep burn injuries and was rushed to OGH where she is presently undergoing treatment
