Vijayawada: In yet another shameful incident, a woman allegedly molested a minor boy. This incident took place in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
According to the report published in The Hans India, the victim is a 14-year-old boy. After the incident came to light, police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The victim who is a minor boy was sent to a government hospital for medical examinations.
The accused is a 45-year-old woman, a resident of Nunna. She allegedly assaulted the victim on Friday evening.
It is also reported that the mother of the victim had lodged the case against the accused.
It may be noted that POCSO Act was legislated in 2012 to protect children from sexual abuse/exploitation.
