Lucknow: Googling stuff on the internet, learning things by watching online videos on YouTube has been a rage for quite a few years now with more and more people switching to internet learning rather than attending practical classes.
Well in a similar case, a 26-year-old woman died after she attempted to deliver her baby by watching an online video tutorial on YouTube, TN reports.
The incident is reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur area on Sunday night where the pregnant woman attempted to deliver the child which ended in tragedy for both of them as they died during the process.
The station house officer (cantonment), Ravi Rai told HT that the possible reason behind her self-delivery attempt was fear of the social stigma attached to being an unmarried mother.
The incident came to light when the deceased’s neighbours informed the police about blood coming out of her room on Monday morning.
When the deceased’s landlord Ravi Upadhyay broke in he found the woman and baby lying dead.
On searching the police also found scissors, blade and threads near the woman’s body.
The deceased woman’s body was sent for post-mortem.
