Woman arrested for murdering husband with paramour

New Delhi: A woman has been arrested for allegedly murdering her husband with the help of her paramour and his accomplice in northeast Delhi’s Khajuri Khas area.

During interrogation, the wife of the deceased told police that she was having an extra-marital affair and was fed up of her husband, said DCP(Northeast) A K Singla.

She sought her paramour’s help for killing her husband.

On February 6, the dead body of the man was found in a nallah near Government Girls School, Khajuri Village.

The face of the body was tied with the help of doctor tape and red marks were found on the neck.

The deceased was identified as Krishan Kumar Sharma, a taxi driver and resident of Karawal Nagar.

“During investigation, footage from CCTV camera installed in the house of the deceased’s neighbour was analysed. An Alto car was found parked outside Krishan’s house late at night.

“The blanket cover found near the dead body was also found to be belonging to his wife. His wife’s photograph was found in the Alto car,” said the officer.

The wife was having an affair with one Praveen Verma and made a plan to kill Krishan.

“Krishan’s father had gone to Bulandshaher to attend a marriage. Verma asked her to keep the main gate of the house open. During the night, Praveen, along with one more person, came and killed Krishan,” said the officer.

She gave him a woollen cover to hide the dead body and Praveen disposed off the body.

“In order to show that her husband is missing she threw his shoes in a nallah and burnt the pants he was wearing that day,” he added.

The woman has been arrested but Praveen is currently absconding
