Ghaziabad: A 22-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by consuming at her Shaheed Nagar colony residence at Shaibabad, police said.
SHO Haridayal Singh Yadav said the woman Mumtaz was admitted to GTB hospital in unconscious state by family members and neighbours where she died during treatment on Tuesday.
In her complaint Maniza, the sister of deceased Mumtaz alleged that her sister was harassed to bring more dowry and she was forced to consume acid by her husband and mother in law.
An FIR has been registered by Sahibabad police and the Mumtaz’s mother-in-law Nagina has been arrested said police.
