It seems that the land grabbers will surely encroach upon 13 acre 17 gunta land of Bam Rukn-ud Daula as illegal occupants have barricaded the precious land of 244-year-old water body despite the fact that the social activists and locals proved with various historical documents that the land belongs to the lake. However GHMC, HUMDA, Revenue Department all have maintained silence over the issue.
One Mohammed Omer reached Siasat office and presented a 77 year old Asif Jahi record. In the gazette notification dated 20 January 1358, 18 Safar ul Muzaffar page no 81, an advertisement was published by the government which stated that the said property must be recorded in the Kitab-ul-Awqaf.
On the other hand locals told that until recently there were many graves on the land in question but land grabbers have razed them too. There is a book in Salarjung Museum named Ma’asir-e-Deccan which has all the details regarding Bam Rukn-ud-Daula. Rukn-ud-Daula Lake was once spread over 104 acre land but the professional land grabbers have gobbled most of the land of Bam Rukn-ud-Daula.
