The area surrounding the mosque is deserted hence few people come to offer prayer. 150 feet wide Vijayawada High way goes by the side of the mosque. 80 lakh rupees were paid as compensation to pathway going between the waqf property which was quite less. Nearly 2112 persons have encroached upon the 423 acre land of the mosque. Chemical granite factories and real estates projects are carried out on the land. There is a board in the ground of the mosque on which Almas pet is written in Telugu and Urdu language. The locality Almas pet had its name from the mosque itself. A large number of Muslim population resides in Chout Uppal which is near to it.
For your estimation we want to show you how big the area 423 acre is. The total area of Zoo park Bahadurpura is 380 acre thus the 423 acre land of Masjid Almas is 43 acre more than the entire Zoo Park area.
The mosque land was gradually sold out it has been illegally encroached upon but the waqf board remained a mute spectator.
