Withdrawal from separate Telangana not possible- Ahmed Patel

Political Advisor to Ms. Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Ahmed Patel told Seema Andhra MPs of Congress that the decision of declaring Telangana a separate State cannot be withdrawn. The MPs told him that if this is not possible , atleast Hyderabad should be made the common Capital of both the State permanently.

Dr. K.V.P. Rama Chandra Rao, Ms. B Jhasi, Mr. Arun Kumar, Harish Kumar, Mr. T.Subbirami Reddy and others met Mr. Ahmed Patel yesterday. The meeting continued for 40 minutes. The M.Ps apprised him of the latest political situation and ongoing agitation in Seema Andhra region. They told him that normal life in this region has come to a standstill.
Mr. Ahmed Patel told them that a decision on Telangana has already being taken and it is not possible to go back from it. He advised them not to protest in Parliament and not to violate the decision taken by the party High Command. They should extend their cooperation in implementing this decision. The MPs told him that the Law and Order situation has gone out of their hands. They said that they are helpless and they would record their protest and demand Congress High Command to withdraw its decision. Mr. Ahmed Patel made it clear to them that it is not possible to change the decision of the Congress Working Committee.
