New Delhi: Reminiscing the past when she started her modeling career, Deepika Padukone said, wish she had a camera to capture the moment when she received her first ‘Model of the Year’ award.
While talking to media in the capital at the launch event of Oppo F3 Plus smart phone, the 31-year-old star said, “I remember when I was a model, within the first year of my career, I won a very prestigious award for being the ‘Model of the Year.’ At that time there were no camera phones. I used to live in Banagalore and the awards took place in Bombay. So my father flew with me,” Deepika said.
Adding, “When I was receiving the award, my father was there to witness it. But I don’t have any picture of that moment. I wish we had something like this back then, which could have captured the moment. I wish I had a visual reference for that.”
The ‘xXx: return of Xander Cage’ star, to whom clicking pictures and capturing moments mean a lot, asked all to keep a record of the clicks in form of hard copies.
“I wish more people click pictures. But I don’t think they are in a habit of printing them and keeping in albums. So, maybe, this should be done,” she said.
The Mastani of Bollywood graced the event in a black and white outfit, accessorizing her look with a pair of earrings and animal print, studded pumps. Her persona was added on with soft curls and red pouts.
On the work front, Deepika will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati,’ alongside Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. Despite Vandalism, the flick is set to release as planned on November 17. (ANI)
