Bangalore, August 28: A man in his late twenties allegedly committed suicide in Bangalore. The deceased, Vishal Yadav (28), was an employee of Wipro Technologies.
Vishal allegedly jumped off the 12-floor Wipro building. But keeping all the angles open the police were trying to ascertain if it was an accidental fall or whether it was done deliberately by somebody else.
DCP (south east) B.N.S. Reddy said, “Around 10.15-10.20 yesterday night the security guard heard a loud noise. They immediately went to the spot and they saw a dead body. He was identified as Vishal Yadav. He was 28 and unmarried.”
A native of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, Vishal had been working with Wipro since 2004 but he was on leave for the last two months. He had even submitted his resignation through e-mail.
Wipro’s senior vice-president (HR), Saurabh Govil said, “Preliminary information indicated Vishal might have fallen from one of the floors in the electronic city campus.”
“He was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital. Despite all the efforts we were unable to save him. We are extending all possible support to his family and the investigating agencies,” Govil added.
Vishal’s neighbours too were finding it hard to believe that the young man could commit suicide. “There was nothing wrong. Very good character as much as we know,” Venkatesh, Vishal’s landlord, said.
