Hyderabad: The Telangana Government today decided to conduct the winter session of the Legislative Assembly from December 16.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao requested Assembly Secretary Raja Sadaram to send a request note to Governor E S L Narasimhan regarding convening the winter session, a release from the Chief Minister’s Office said here.
Rao held a preparatory meeting on the winter session with the ministers and the assembly secretary today. It was decided that the meeting of Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Assembly will be held on December 15.
A meeting of the state Cabinet, to be chaired by the Chief Minister, will be held on December 10. Ahead of the session, a conference of district collectors will be organised on December 14, it said.
He also decided to hold a meeting of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi Legislature Party on December 15.
The Chief Minister has instructed that clothes be distributed to the needy Christians on the occasion of Christmas, the release said.
The TRS government distributes clothes to the needy on the occasion of certain festivals.
