New Delhi, Dec 14: Winter chill seems to be back in the national capital as Delhiites woke up to a misty morning with the mercury plummeting to below ten degree level after a gap of four days.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.4 degree Celsius, down by 2.3 degrees from yesterday’s 11.7, a Met Department official said. Today’s minimum, however, was one degree above normal during this period of the year.
Delhiites have been waking up to comparatively warmer mornings in the past four days with the mercury hovering around 12 degree Celsius during the morning hours in the past few days.
Other than December eight and nine when the mercury plummeted to 8.3 degree Celsius, the past one week has the minimum at above ten degree Celsius every day with the sixth day of the month recording the highest of 13.3 degrees.
