Will visit Sonia’s house whenever I visit Delhi’: Governor

Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan today said that he would visit Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s house whenever he goes to New Delhi. Talking to mediapersons after having darshan of Goddess Padmavati at Tiruchanur, the Governor said there was no political significance to to his meeting UPA Chairperson or other Central leaders.

Stating that his Delhi visit was of casual nature, he requested the media not to attach any importance to it.

Asked about signals on Telangana, the Governor pleaded ignorance and said he would like to know things from the media.

He said he had prayed the Goddess to provide peace and development to Andhra Pradesh. When the mediapersons insisted on details of his trip to New Delhi, the Governor simply said the tour was cool.

Replying to another pointed question on the Telangana March, the Governor said the Centre would not interfere with it and it was for the State government to handle the event. It may be mentioned here that the Governor spent two days in Delhi and met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Ms Gandhi and union ministers.

Though the Governor has said that he had not discussed any political issues with the Central leaders, reports said he was summoned by Congress High Command and had discussed about the ensuing Telangana March, statehood issue and law and order matters. UNI
