Will root out corruption: Kadiam vows

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today said the State government was keen on rooting out corruption in the Education department by taking stringent measures against those were involved in irregularities.

Speaking in the Legislative Council today, Srihari said corruption will go as they have already taken effective steps against 10 officials for irregularities in 16 Madarasas besides recovering embezzled money. An inquiry in this regard was on and the government will take stern action against those who bring bad name to the government on getting a report, Srihari warned.

Referring to the allegations on Hyderabad district education officer, the Deputy CM said an inquiry was on. The Education minister also said they are pondering on hiking salaries of contract lecturers in the State. (NSS)
