Will respect Supreme Court’s judgment: Mahant Narendra Giri

Lucknow: Amidst saffron outfits’ efforts to pressurize the government for construction of Ram temple in the place of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya, President of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad Mahant Narendra Giri has said that the Supreme Court’s judgement will be respected.

Chief of Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad Narendra Giri said either the Court’s judgment will be respected or the issue must be resolved through talks. However, he also said that if the government wants it can pass a legislation or an ordinance to find the solution. He strongly criticised the programs of VHP and Shiv Sena and said those programs will make no difference because the issue is there as it was.

Making an attack on VHP Mahant Giri said the VHP had held the programme to take political mileage out of it. He claimed that there is no difference between BJP and VHP however he didn’t elaborate it.

Mahant Narendra Giri said the issue of Babri Masjid can be resolved through mutual consent. He said a meeting is scheduled on December 4 and 5 in Ayodhya to resolve the issue. He told they will talk to Iqbal Ansari and Sunni Waqf Board. It must be noted that Mahendra Narendra Giri had kept himself away from the Uddhav Thackeray’s ‘Ashirwad programme’ and VHP’s ‘Dharam Sabha’.
