There are indications that Telangana Nagara chief and MLA Nagam Janardana Reddy and his group might join the TRS soon.
Nagam who has come out of TDP protesting against its chief Chandra Babu Naidu’s non-committal stand on Telangana has been continuing to fight for Telangana under his banner Telangana Nagara Samiti. TDP MLAs Hariswar Reddy and Venugopalachary have also quit the party and were with Nagam since then.
After quitting TDP, Nagam has also resigned to the Assembly and got re-elected as an independent member.
TDP has suspended Harishwar Reddy and Venugopalachary also along with Nagam. All of them have participated in the movement for Telangana on several occasions. They have been waiting for a proper forum to join, so that a united fight could be waged for the State formation.
Now sources say that all the three are thinking of joining the TRS instead of waging a lone war. The first to express such view was Hariswar Reddy. Reports say that the TRS chief KCR would himself be going to the house of Hariswar later in the day. It is learnt that KCR was
trying to visit Hariswar to invite him into his party. He is likely to invite Venugopalachary also. Hariswar went to KCR’s house on Monday and has invited him to lunch on Tuesday.
Apart from these two MLAs, Nagam and another TDP MLA Jogu Ramanna also might join TRS, say sources.
