Mumbai: They have starred together in films like Tashan and Kurbaan. But actress Kareena Kapoor Khan feels that filmmakers no longer see her and her actor husband Saif Ali Khan as an onscreen pair.
Kareena, who has been lauded for her role in her latest release Udta Punjab, was last seen sharing screen space with Saif in 2014 film Happy Ending, in which she starred in a cameo role.
Asked when she will next be seen with Saif onscreen, Kareena told IANS: “I don’t think that’s going to happen for a while. Maybe like 20 years later. I mean nobody has even offered us any film. I don’t think that they see me and Saif as an onscreen pair.”
The 35-year-old star said that no maker has come up with a script where the two can star together.
“I mean nobody has come up with a script and it doesn’t really matter because I see him every day at home,” she said.
Kareena will soon be seen sharing screen space with actress Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar in Veere Di Wedding. Saif, who was last seen on screen in 2015 film Phantom, will next be seen in Rangoon, which also stars Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor.
